Sunday Times 'error' 

IN the Sunday Times report on Sunday, "Don't stop believing in S'pore economy, Govt, urges BG Lee", we said Deputy Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had singled out Indonesia and the rupiah as facing a loss of confidence. This is incorrect.

In his speech, BG Lee did not single out any particular country or currency. He said: "Look at the problems in the region. If they like it, they buy and the currency exchange rate goes up. If they don't like it, then in one day, it can fall by as much as 15 per cent."
