Singapore's Human Rights Practices
International Religious Freedom Report

UNDER Secretary for Global Affairs Paula Dobriansky held an On-the-Record briefing, Feb 28, to announce the release of the 2004 Human Rights Reports.

The report entitled Country Reports on Human Rights Practices is submitted to the Congress by the Department of State.

The extensive report on Singapore has six sections:

Section 1 Respect for the Integrity of the Person, Including Freedom From:

Section 2 Respect for Civil Liberties

Section 3 Respect for Political Rights: The Right of Citizens to Change Their Government

Section 4 Governmental Attitude Regarding International and Nongovernmental Investigation of Alleged Violations of Human Rights

Section 5 Discrimination, Societal Abuses, and Trafficking in Persons

Section 6 Worker Rights

There is also a lengthy report on Malaysia.
